Journeys Aviation and C.M.L. Air Limited to Host Open HouseMay '08
Journeys Aviation and C.M.L. Air Limited will host an open house on Saturday, May 10, at Boulder Municipal Airport. The open house will take place at the terminal building from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. A hot air balloon lift will begin festivities at 6:00 a.m.

Following that, Terry Barnhart, co-author of "Capt. Jepp and the Little Black Book," will give a talk about how the book almost didn't come into existence.

The historic B-25, Pacific Prowler, will make its second annual appearance at the event; rides for the public will be available. Bill Bower, a Doolittle Raider and Colorado Aviation Hall of Fame Laureate, has accepted an invitation to appear.

Lynn Daker, another B-25 pilot, will entertain guests with his tales. Daker is the president of the 500th Bomber Squadron Association and vice president of the 345th Bomb Group (Air Apache).

Tom Meyer, of NOAA, will present a Severe Weather Spotter Training seminar.

The Commemorative Air Force will make its presence known, with the C-195 and Fly Baby. Also featured will be a Robinson R-44 helicopter, Spitfire and T-6. Walt Barbo of Denver's Fantasy of Flight Foundation will have a display. Visitors can try out a flight simulator and watch a parachute jump.

Coffee and donuts will be available in the morning. Guests can enjoy a free barbecue lunch at noon.
