CAP’s Seattle Squadron keeps its new, high-tech Cessna 182 busy with search and rescue and homeland security missions. The plane is outfitted with a Garmin 1000 avionics system, satellite-linked air-to-ground photo system and Becker Avionics SAR unit.
A high-tech Cessna 182R Skylane is giving the Seattle squadron of the Civil Air Patrol a major boost in the effectiveness of its search and rescue missions, as well as a larger role supporting homeland security operations.

The Oregon Vintage Festival featured several Oregon artists.
The Evergreen Aviation Museum, home of the famous Spruce Goose, hosted the Oregon Vintage Festival over Labor Day weekend. Located in the heart of Oregon's wine country, and nestled in the museum's oak grove, the three-day outdoor festival showcased the Northwest's finest wine, beer, food, entertainment, art, aircraft and automobiles.
